Terms and community guidelines

Last updated Oct 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and XNEIK LTD for using TheUnbiasedGuide, on the web and in the "Unbiased" apps. By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy.

Your account

You must be 18 or over. Accounts are personal: keep your password safe and don't share or sell your account. Joining may be by invitation only.

Honest reviews

TheUnbiasedGuide only works if reviews are real. Review places you actually visited, about your own experience. Don't review a place you own, work for, compete with, or were paid, gifted or otherwise rewarded to review. No fake, copied or misleading reviews or prices.

Be respectful: criticise the food and the service, not people. No harassment, hate, threats, or sexual content, and don't post other people's personal information.

Only post photos you took or have the right to share, and avoid identifiable people where you can. No spam, advertising or self-promotion.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for example, resize photos or turn a receipt into a shareable image) and share it in order to run and promote TheUnbiasedGuide. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared publicly by you or others.

Reports and moderation

You can report receipts and members, and block anyone. We review reports and may hide or remove content, or limit or close accounts, that break these terms—usually without notice when it's about safety or spam. If you think we got it wrong, email privacy@theunbiasedguide.com.

The guide itself

Scores are the opinions of members and of The Guide, not statements of fact. Place details come partly from Google Maps and may be out of date. We provide the service as it is and may change or stop features.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect losses or for what other members post, and our total liability to you is limited to £100.

App stores

If you use the iPhone or Android app, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, who aren't responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the iPhone app.

Ending and changes

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may update these terms; we'll tell you before significant changes take effect, and continuing to use the guide means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, though you keep any rights you have under the law where you live.
